Why It Matters: The Impact of Your Ticket

At The Cancer Foundation, we believe no one should face cancer alone, or in financial crisis. Every ticket purchased for Sip & Shuck 2025 directly fuels our mission to reduce the financial burden of cancer for patients and families across Northeast Georgia.

Thanks to past events like this one, we’ve made significant strides in expanding our support:

📊 By the Numbers:

  • In 2024, we provided over $550,000 in financial assistance to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

  • Our programs served patients in 25 counties, many of whom travel long distances or face transportation and housing insecurity.

  • We’ve distributed more than 44,496 meals, helping patients maintain strength and nutrition during treatment.

  • In 2025, we increased our maximum financial assistance award from $750 to $1,000 per patient, thanks in part to the generous support of our donors.

👩‍⚕️ The Human Side of the Data:

Behind every number is a story. A mother with breast cancer who couldn’t work during chemotherapy. A grandfather balancing treatment and groceries on a fixed income. A newly diagnosed young adult without family nearby. With your help, we step in with compassion, direct financial aid, and consistent nutritional support when it’s needed most.

“The Cancer Foundation helped pay my rent while I was receiving radiation. Without them, I don’t know what I would have done. They gave me more than money—they gave me peace of mind.”

🫶 Your Role:

When you attend Sip & Shuck, you're not just enjoying oysters, food, beverages, and music—you’re:

  • Helping a cancer patient keep the lights on.

  • Making sure someone has gas to get to treatment.

  • Providing a stable source of food when it matters most.

This is more than an event. It’s a lifeline.

Join us in building a future where every cancer patient gets the care and dignity they deserve, without financial devastation.
