Athens Academy Pink Out Game: Support The Cancer Foundation

Join Athens Academy in making a difference

at this year’s Pink Out Game! Our student-athletes, led by the JV Cheer Team, are raising funds to support local cancer patients and families through The Cancer Foundation (TCF).

About The Cancer Foundation

Since 2005, The Cancer Foundation has been dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of cancer for eligible patients. TCF addresses the barriers many patients face during treatment — including food and housing insecurity, inadequate income, and lack of reliable transportation.

How Your Support Helps

  • The Cancer Foundation's Financial Assistance Program provides vital support to cancer patients by covering essential living expenses like transportation, housing support and utility costs.

  • Transportation includes fuel cards, rideshare services, public transit, parking, car payments, or vehicle insurance

  • Housing includes Rent, mortgage, property taxes, and homeowners’ insurance

  • Utilities include electricity, water, sewage, trash service, propane, natural gas, phone, or internet service

  • Additional needs include insurance premiums, medical equipment, food, and funeral expenses.

  • By addressing these everyday challenges, TCF helps patients focus on what matters most: their treatment and recovery.

How You Can Help at the Pink Out Game

This year, the JV Cheer Team is in charge of the spirit table and all proceeds will go directly to TCF. You can make a difference by:

  • Visiting the Spirit Table: Every donation counts!

  • Scanning the QR Code: Donate quickly and securely from your phone

The impact of this support is profound. Research shows housing insecurity leads to delayed care, transportation barriers double the likelihood of missed treatments, and food insecurity worsens recovery. By meeting these essential needs, patients can focus on healing rather than survival. Every contribution supports local families facing cancer, helping them meet critical needs and easing the financial stress of treatment.

Let’s show our Athens Academy spirit and Pink Out for a cause that truly matters!
